You’re Already a Member of RHA
by Texas A&M RHA | Updated May 26 2025
If you live in a residence hall or campus apartment at Texas A&M University, you're already part of the Residential Housing Association (RHA). There’s no sign-up process, no dues — your membership is automatic.
RHA exists to represent, support, and connect the more than 12,000 residents who call on-campus housing home. That means you have access to events, resources, funding, and leadership opportunities just by living here.

What Does Membership Mean?
As a general member of RHA, you’re part of a vibrant, student-led network that works to:
- Plan fun, free events across campus and in your building
- Fund community initiatives and hall traditions
- Provide feedback to Residence Life and university leadership
- Advocate for policies that improve student life
You can attend RHA programs, participate in hall competitions, and benefit from resident-led advocacy — all because you live on campus.
Want to Do More? Join a Community Council
Every residence hall and apartment area has a Community Council — a student group that plans events and represents residents in that building. These councils are always looking for students to help with programming, fundraising, and community building.
No experience is needed — just show up, share ideas, and get involved.

If you're ready to lead, RHA offers opportunities to:
- Serve as a Community Council officer

- Attend and contribute to events like AggieFest, Wellness Week, and more
- Represent your hall at the RHA General Assembly
Additional Perks
- Attend regional and national leadership conferences
- Get exclusive RHA swag and apparel
- Build your resume with service and leadership experience
- Network with driven student leaders and campus partners
- Make lifelong friends and be part of a community that cares
