Hall Improvements
by Texas A&M RHA | Updated May 29 2025
The Residential Housing Association (RHA) and Residence Life manages a general improvement fund used to support upgrades across residence halls and apartment communities at Texas A&M. These improvements are driven by students—for students—and reflect what you want to see enhanced in your building.
Whether it’s new furniture for a study lounge, an upgraded TV for your lobby, improved kitchen appliances, or creative additions to your community space, you can help shape the future of your hall. Residents are encouraged to submit suggestions to their Community Council, who work with RHA and Residence Life to propose and fund these projects.

What Can Be Requested?
Hall improvements can include a wide range of items that improve comfort, community, and function within shared student spaces. Common examples include:
- TVs, projectors, or entertainment setups
- Sofas, study chairs, tables, and storage furniture
- Kitchen appliances like air fryers, bowls, and blenders
- Outdoor seating or recreational equipment
- Game room items such as Nintendo Switches, ping pong tables, or board games

Who Pays for It?
Each year, RHA receives a general fund from Residence Life to support programming and improvements across campus. Hall Improvement funds are part of that allocation and are distributed based on proposals, availability, and impact.
This ensures that funding goes where it’s needed most—toward real ideas from residents themselves.
