How We Build Community
Empowering over 12,000 residents to connect, lead, and thrive
At Texas A&M University, the Residential Housing Association (RHA) believes that every student deserves a supportive and engaging community where they live. Through events, leadership, wellness initiatives, and advocacy, RHA creates spaces where residents feel heard, valued, and connected.
🎉 Campus-Wide Events
We host large-scale programs like AggieFest and Wellness Week, drawing thousands of students into moments of celebration, stress relief, and connection.
🏡 Community Council Leadership
Each hall has its own student-led Community Council, empowering residents to make decisions, plan events, and advocate for their peers at the local level.
🗣️ Resident Advocacy
We listen to student feedback and push for tangible improvements—from hall amenities to university-wide policies—through formal proposals and open forums.
🧠 Health & Wellness
Our Student Wellness Chairs coordinate campaigns focused on mental health, self-care, and personal growth—meeting residents where they are.
🌱 Sustainability
Eco-Reps and sustainability chairs help lead green initiatives, from waste reduction efforts to collaboration with the Office of Sustainability.
💡 Hall Improvements
Residents can propose and receive funding for real upgrades to their space—like study furniture, kitchen tools, or community art installations.
Whether you're attending an event, leading a council, or simply enjoying improved facilities, RHA is behind the scenes working to make residence life better for everyone. Community is more than where you live—it's what you build together.
